Job summary

HC-One Ltd. is seeking a Senior Care Assistant at Millcroft to lead a team and deliver personalised care that upholds security, dignity, and independence for residents. You will work closely with residents and families to ensure care plans are tailored and responsive.

You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, safeguarding, and providing stimulating activities while supporting colleagues and promoting a compassionate, high-quality care environment.

Qualifications

  • Clear communication and empathy when supporting residents and families.
  • Experience leading a care team to maintain high standards of care.
  • Understanding safeguarding policies and procedures and applying them.
  • Experience with administering medications as part of daily care.

About the role

Whether you are showing someone how to use a walking frame, helping someone at the end of their life to eat a meal or talking to a resident’s family on the phone, you’ll do so with a sense of kindness, above anything else. You will be involved in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.

One of your key responsibilities as Senior Care Assistant is to maintain accurate records of the job you do and build strong relationships with the rest of your team.

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
