About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and implementing the kind of care that will give our residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence.
  • Getting to know our residents and their families – helping to ensure we deliver truly personalised care plans.
  • Leading a team of Care Assistants, maintaining the highest standards of care and influencing the rest of the team.
  • Showing someone how to use a walking frame, helping someone at the end of their life to eat a meal or talking to a resident’s family on the phone, all with a sense of kindness.
  • Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager to provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities and administering medication.
  • Maintaining accurate records of the job you do and building strong relationships with the rest of your team.
Qualifications
  • Completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Social Care and prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Brilliant positive energy and natural ability to get along with people.
  • Know what good record keeping looks like and manage time effectively.
  • Communicate with residents or co‑workers in a truly considerate and kind manner.
