Job summary

A leading health care provider in the Diss area seeks a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join their exceptional care home. You will support residents with daily needs, conduct supervisions, and help in care planning. Candidates must have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and proven experience in a care setting. Qualifications

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Senior Support Worker to work in an exceptional care home based in the Diss, Ipswich area. You will be working for one of UKs leading health care providers.

This special care home provides care and support to residential, respite and residential dementia individuals.

To be considered for this position you must have an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.

Key Duties
  • Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
  • Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
  • Contribute to care planning and coach support workers
  • Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
  • Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
  • Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
  • Be responsible for administering medication to the residents in accordance with policies and procedures
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience of working in a care setting
  • A good team player
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a genuine desire to care for others
Benefits

The successful Senior Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of GBP14.00 per hour and the annual salary of GBP26,208 per annum.
