Overview

Main duties of the job

For you, that will mean planning and implementing the kind of care that gives residents a real sense of security, dignity and independence. You’ll be a positive influence on the care team. Whether you are showing someone how to use a walking frame, assisting someone at the end of life, or speaking with a resident’s family on the phone, you’ll do so with kindness above all.

Job responsibilities

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, you will:

• Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain high standards of care; be a real influence on the team.
• Get to know residents and their families to deliver truly personalised care plans.
• Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and in administering medication.
• Maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the team.
• Work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Social Care or equivalent if you have completed Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Social Care; have a background in person-centered care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
• Ensure time management is effective and communicate with residents and co-workers with genuine kindness.

Hours may include night shifts. We offer Bank, part-time or full-time contracts.
