Job summary

HC-One is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for day shifts (8am–8pm) in a role that blends leadership with compassionate, person-centred care. You will support residents with dignity and independence, work closely with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, and help design and implement tailored activity plans.

Ideal applicants will hold Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Social Care, pursue Level 3, and bring experience in dementia care.

Qualifications

• Holds Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Social Care and working towards Level 3 or equivalent.
• Background in person-centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
• Brilliant positive energy with the ability to get along with people and maintain excellent record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Care Assistants and maintain high standards of care.
• Assist the Registered Nurse and Care Manager in providing physical and mental stimulation through activities.
• Administer medication and maintain accurate resident records.
• Communicate with residents and families with kindness and professionalism.

This role is a for Senior Care Assistant on dayshift between 8am-8pm, both part-time and full-time options are available. Whether you are showing someone how to use a walking frame, helping someone at the end of their life to eat a meal or talking to a resident’s family on the phone, you’ll do so with a sense of kindness, above anything else.Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you will be involved in providing essential physical and mental stimulation through a range of social and recreational activities, as well as administering medication.One of your key responsibilities as Senior Care Assistant is to maintain accurate records of the job you do and build strong relationships with the rest of your team.Ideally, you’ll have completed a Level 2 Diploma S/NVQ in Adult Social Care and are prepared to work towards Level 3 qualification in Adult Social Care or equivalent,a background in person centeredcare planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia. What’s essential, though, is your brilliant positive energy and natural ability to get along with people. You’ll know what good record keeping looks like and be able to manage your time effectively. And, whenever you communicate with a resident or co-worker, you’ll be truly considerate and kind.
