Job summary

North London NHS Foundation Trust in Barnet seeks a Band 7 Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to work in CAMHS at Holly Oak Clinic, Edgware. The role involves specialist CAMHS assessments and therapeutic work with children, young people and families in a community CAMHS setting.

You will contribute to neurodevelopmental service work, supervise junior staff, and collaborate with MDT colleagues, maintaining CPD and evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Doctorate level qualification.
• Experience in CAMHS or child mental health is desirable.
• Interview as part of the selection process.
• Ability to relate to clinical theories.
• Ability to work closely with families and stakeholders.
• Able to provide supervision to the team.
• Ability to complete care plans.
• Clear understanding of child mental health.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological assessments for children, young people and families in CAMHS.
• Plan and deliver evidence-based psychological treatments.
• Supervise Assistant Psychologists and CBT therapists.
• Collaborate with MDT colleagues and participate in multi-agency contexts.
• Maintain CPD and engage in audit, policy development and research.
• Provide specialist psychological advice to other professionals.
