Job summary

Oxford Health is seeking qualified Charge Nurses for Marlborough House in Swindon, a 12-bed inpatient unit for young people aged 11 to 18. You will lead the ward, act as senior nurse out-of-hours, and support staff development with recruitment, induction and governance responsibilities.

Experience in CAMHS or acute inpatient care is desirable, and you will work closely with the Modern Matron and Clinical Nurse Lead to maintain high clinical standards and drive service improvement.

Qualifications

• Must hold RMN qualification and be registered.
• Experience and ability to work with complex family dynamics.
• Good level of understanding of child protection issues.
• Experience in acute inpatient care or CAMHS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in a therapeutic inpatient setting for young people.
• Lead ward operations including shift coordination and senior nursing duties out of hours.
• Support staff development through mentoring, induction, and training.
• Contribute to audits, maintain clinical standards and support service improvement.
• Promote safety by following health and safety policies and reporting incidents.
