Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry to join an NHS CMHT/CAMHS team in Ashford, Kent. This locum post offers an immediate start with 40 hours per week and competitive remuneration to be discussed at application.

You will provide expert care for children and adolescents, lead multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act in a community setting.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration is required.
• Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status.
• Inclusion on Specialist Register (CCT in CAMHS).
• Proven CAMHS and CMHT experience.
• Previous NHS Consultant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert psychiatric care to children and adolescents within a community mental health setting
• Lead multidisciplinary teams in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of young patients
• Develop and oversee individualised care plans in line with best clinical practice
• Ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act (MHA) and safeguarding protocols
• Participate in case reviews, clinical audits, and service development initiatives

We are seeking a skilled Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry to join our NHS client in Ashford, Kent. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start and involves working within a Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and CAMHS setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert psychiatric care to children and adolescents within a community mental health setting
