Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust in Rochdale invites applications for a full-time Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatry post within Rochdale CAMHS. The role covers Generic CAMHS and Neurodevelopmental pathways, with opportunities in specialised complex care pathways, leadership, teaching, and service development.

Qualifications

• Consultant psychiatric assessment and management for children and young people up to 18.
• Work across Generic CAMHS and Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry pathways, including Intellectual Disability.
• Contribute to specialised complex care pathways (e.g. cared for children, eating disorders, crisis/home treatment).
• Hold clinical responsibility for a defined caseload and provide consultation to the multidisciplinary team.
• Offer clinical leadership within the team, supporting triage, care planning, and risk management.
• Work collaboratively with partner services including Social Care, Paediatrics, Education, and Third Sector organisations.
• Participate in the Consultant rota, peer supervision, and provide cross-cover for colleagues.
• Contribute to teaching, training, service development, audit and quality improvement.
