Job summary

Presidio is seeking a Senior CAD Technician to join the design team in London. You will produce detailed 2D drawings supporting engineers, architects, and project managers, interpreting sketches and specs, and updating drawings as designs evolve.

You will check drawings for accuracy, maintain libraries, and collaborate across disciplines. Site visits may be required to reflect real-world restraints in drawings.

Qualifications

• Create 2D drawings using CAD software.
• Interpret Solution Architect sketches, specifications, and design concepts.
• Revise and update drawings to reflect design changes.
• Check drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain drawing libraries and file management systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers.
• Interpret field survey data to create accurate site plans.
• Attend site walkthroughs when needed to understand building restraints and to ensure drawings reflect these.

Responsibilities

The Role

The position of Senior CAD Technician is part of the design team and reports into the design manager. Working as a Senior CAD Technician, you will be responsible producing detailed drawings that support engineers, architects, main contractors and Project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 2D drawings using CAD software.
• Interpret Solution Architect sketches, specifications, and design concepts.
• Revise and update drawings to reflect design changes.
• Check drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain drawing libraries and file management systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers.
• Interpret field survey data to create accurate site plans.
• Attend site walkthroughs when needed to understand building restraints and to ensure drawings reflect these.

Products and Training:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Knowledge and experience of audio visual system integration

Other Responsibilities:

• Working with the Design Manager to implement Drawing Standards
• Mentor the other CAD technicians to upskill their knowledge.
