Job summary

RedTech is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to develop high-performance software for macOS using modern C++. The role also involves Swift and a range of technologies within a hybrid Cambridge office.

You will work in an established R&D team, communicate effectively, mentor engineers, and contribute to automated tests and documentation as part of the software lifecycle.

Job description

A fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a successful technology company developing complex, high-performance software products. Working within an established research and development team, you will design and enhance software for macOS environments using modern C++, while also working with Swift and a broader range of technologies.

Location: Cambridge, hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office

Requirements for Senior C++ Software Engineer:

• Strong commercial experience developing production-quality software using modern C++
• Experience with Swift
• Good knowledge of Unix, Linux or macOS development environments
• Excellent analytical and complex problem-solving skills
• Ability to work autonomously and make well-reasoned technical decisions
• Experience working collaboratively within a software engineering team
• Familiarity with Docker and cloud-based environments
• An interest in software security, system behaviour or analytical technologies would be advantageous
• Strong communication skills with the ability to support and mentor other engineers
