Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with a strong C++ background to drive design and delivery of high‑impact FX engineering products. You will lead architecture decisions, mentor engineers and deliver robust software in an AI‑forward environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Strong programming experience in C++ and at least one other language
• Experience with REST/WebSocket, Kafka, SQL and Redis preferred
• Proven delivery experience in software engineering
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD practices

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert on design, development and implementation
• Deliver high-quality software solutions and tooling
• Lead projects and guide team delivery
• Collaborate with architects and product teams to define Epics and stories
• Apply engineering patterns to deliver robust solutions
