Job summary

Goodman Masson is partnering with a high-growth wealth management client in Central London to hire a Backend Developer (C#) for a hybrid role. You will build robust backend services, data integration pipelines, and secure RESTful APIs to enable cross-application communication.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of backend engineering experience, strong C#/.NET and SQL Server skills, and a track record delivering on tight sprint timelines within financial services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience preferred.
• Experience in Financial Services (Wealth/Asset management or Banking) preferred.
• Strong C#/.NET and SQL Server (T-SQL) skills.
• Knowledge of building scalable APIs and event-driven data architectures.
• Experience with messaging queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Back-end focus delivering a business-critical integration programme on tight deadlines.
• Design and maintain robust data flows and integration pipelines between internal platforms and external systems.
• Build and consume production-grade, secure RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Handle complex DB tasks including T-SQL queries and indexing.
• Apply CI/CD practices with Azure DevOps to keep systems resilient and auditable.
