Job summary

A leading residential developer in the Northampton area seeks an experienced Senior Buyer to manage material procurement for new build projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of procurement experience in residential developments, sound knowledge of construction techniques, and excellent communication and negotiation skills. This position offers a competitive salary of £50k – £55k plus package.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of procurement experience with a residential property developer.
• Experience with procuring materials for new build developments.
• Sound knowledge of construction techniques.
• Comprehension of building, environmental and disability standards.

Responsibilities

• Procuring brickwork, carpentry and sanitary materials.
• Hiring plant e.g. cabins, forklifts, fencing, cranes etc.
• Compiling monthly reports on budgeting control on all materials.
• Resolving supplier disputes.
• Supporting the estimating team with pre-tender quotations.
