Are you an experienced Buyer with a strong background in manufacturing or distribution? Do you enjoy negotiating with suppliers, improving procurement performance and ensuring the right materials are available at the right time and cost?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and growing business as Senior Buyer, taking responsibility for key supplier relationships, purchasing activity and procurement improvements across the organisation.

This is far more than a transactional buying role. It's an opportunity to influence purchasing performance, develop supplier partnerships and identify opportunities to improve cost, quality, availability and service.

The opportunity:

Working closely with the senior leadership team and wider operations function, you'll take ownership of day-to-day and strategic purchasing activities across a range of materials, products and services.

You'll be responsible for managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing and terms, monitoring supplier performance and ensuring continuity of supply. You'll also have the opportunity to identify and implement improvements across purchasing processes, systems and stock management.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and making a tangible difference to procurement performance within a growing manufacturing environment.

The company:

Our client is a well‑established and successful business with a strong reputation for quality, reliability and long‑standing customer relationships.

Their continued success has been built on high‑quality products, operational excellence and a commitment to continuous improvement. As the business continues to grow, they are investing in their people, systems and processes, creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Buyer to make a real impact.

About you:

You're an experienced Buyer, Senior Buyer or Purchasing professional with a background in manufacturing, distribution or a similar product‑led environment. You'll combine strong commercial awareness with a proactive, hands‑on approach.

You'll bring:

  • Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Experience managing purchase orders, pricing, lead times and supplier performance.
  • Good understanding of stock control, inventory management and supply continuity.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
Why apply?

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Senior Buyer to join a growing business where you'll have genuine ownership and the opportunity to influence procurement performance.

If you're an experienced Buyer looking for your next step and want to join a business where your commercial and procurement expertise will be valued, we'd love to hear from you.
