Job Title: Senior Buyer
Location: Fife, Hybrid working

Are you an experienced Buyer looking for your next step up, or already operating at Senior Buyer level and ready for a new challenge? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Fife, playing a key role in their Group Procurement function.

As Senior Buyer, you’ll take ownership of strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimisation across a defined portfolio of goods. You’ll be central to driving value, ensuring supply continuity, and supporting procurement initiatives that align with group-wide objectives.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Leading sourcing strategies for your categories, from market analysis through to tendering, negotiation, and contract award

  • Managing supplier relationships — reviewing performance, driving improvements, and resolving supply issues

  • Delivering measurable cost savings and value creation projects

  • Overseeing day-to-day purchasing, ensuring data accuracy and process efficiency within the ERP system

  • Partnering cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, and Finance to support demand planning, inventory, and new product launches

  • Identifying risks within the supply chain and putting mitigation strategies in place

What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience in a strategic/senior buying role within manufacturing, engineering, or distribution

  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and contract management skills

  • A track record of delivering cost savings and added value

  • Confident working with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and Excel

  • CIPS qualification (or working towards) would be a bonus

  • Experience in international sourcing and trade compliance is also desirable
