Job summary

Computerworld Personnel Ltd in Bristol is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead end-to-end procurement for a high‑tech manufacturer with global reach. You will manage supplier relationships, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of critical materials and components.

The role covers end-to-end procurement activities, supplier performance management, and resolving supplier issues, with a 12‑month fixed-term contract that could become permanent. Competitive benefits accompanying the salary.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within an Engineering or Production Environment.
• Track record as a Buyer.
• CIPS level 4 qualified or similar Purchasing Qualification.
• HNC/HND in Engineering or Manufacturing Discipline.
• Good ability with managing conflicting priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end procurement process from requisition through PO placement.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate with suppliers and coordinate orders in line with requirements.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and supplier-related issues.
• Manage return-to-vendor activities and supplier non-conformance processes.

We’re seeking an ambitious Senior Buyer to join a leading high‑tech manufacturer in Bristol, with global reach.

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in a globally respected business, managing key supplier relationships, driving purchasing performance and ensuring critical materials and components are delivered to support the development of industry‑leading products.

The Role

• Managed the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition through to purchase order placement.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Negotiate with suppliers and coordinate orders in line with operational requirements.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and supplier‑related issues.
• Manage return-to-vendor activities and supplier non-conformance processes.

What we are looking for
