Location: Oldham Council, Oldham Library and Lifelong Learning Centre, Greaves Street, Oldham, OL1 1AL

Role Overview

To provide effective and comprehensive business support, working as part of the Lifelong Learning team, and to contribute to excellent service delivery through the provision of more specialist/technical administration duties and overseeing the workflow management including appraisal of other business and higher level business support employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • To monitor and support Business Support practices and work closely with the Business Support Coordinator to ensure the delivery of a consistent and high-quality service.
  • To monitor, check, review and update a range of financial records ensuring compliance with the regulations and internal and external audit.
  • To carry out DBS for staff and maintain the timetable and update of the Single central record.
  • Support the administration of additional projects including disseminating procedures and duties to the Business support team.
  • Observe, support and train the Business support staff to ensure they are achieving the service objectives.
Key Requirements
  • Higher level administration skills to undertake the tasks and duties of the role.
  • Experience of using a range of computer packages and bespoke online Management Information systems.
  • Experience of supervising others, and ensuring they complete tasks to agreed deadlines and to required quality standards.
