What’s the role?
  • Efficiently oversee a range of administrative responsibilities and deliver comprehensive business support for the Safer Communities Service.
  • Manage emails and phone calls for the Licensing & Trading Standards Team or the ASB & Statutory Nuisance Team, responding in a timely manner and distributing relevant correspondence to team officers.
  • Record incoming complaints submitted via email, phone or online reporting forms and enter the information accurately and promptly into the relevant database for follow‑up by officers.

What we’re looking for
  • Knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas: Licensing, Trading Standards, Anti‑social Behaviour, Statutory Nuisance, or Community Safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment, managing competing priorities and workloads with confidence.
  • Professional and discreet handling of sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Strong attention to detail and delivery of high‑quality administrative support.
  • Consistent meeting of performance standards, maintaining accuracy and efficiency across core business processes.
Location & Working Hours

The role is primarily based in Laurence House, 1 Catford Road, SE6 4RU. It operates on a hybrid model, requiring both office and remote work on a regular basis. You may need to attend meetings in the evenings, work outside normal office hours and work beyond minimum hours when required to meet deadlines.

Salary

£37,509 – £38,637 per annum (SC6). All appointments will be offered at the minimum Spinal Column Point for the grade of the role. If your current salary is higher (up to the maximum of the scale), we will consider matching it where evidence is provided.
