Vacancy Information

The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours / sessional posts will be pro-rated accordingly.

Hourly rate of pay: £13.48 - £14.33
This is a 39-week sessional post i.e. working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days.

Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Thursday, 08:00-16:00
Friday, 08:00-13:00

Musselburgh Grammar School is a vibrant and ambitious secondary, serving the town of Musselburgh and the nearby village of Whitecraig. An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Business Support Assistant, which will include reception duties and supporting the school with office administration. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are essential - as well as an aptitude for learning new digital skills and systems.

The successful candidate will have:

To provide an administrative, clerical, reception and information support to the school through a range of tasks carried out within well-defined regulations.

Job Requirements

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to ‘Higher’ level, NC or SVQ level 2 in English and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.

PVG Membership
This post is considered as a Regulated Role with vulnerable children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020.
