Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and results‑driven Senior Business Development Manager / Strategic Sales Manager to lead our efforts in hunting new business opportunities within the Retail vertical and other related sectors. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong networking abilities, and a proven track record in sales to effectively drive our growth initiatives in the UK market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and target new business opportunities within the Retail vertical and related industries. Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C‑level executives in potential client organizations. Establish trust and credibility by understanding client needs and proposing tailored solutions.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and growth opportunities within the retail sector. Utilize insights gained to refine sales strategies and tactics.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Lead sales presentations and demonstrations of our Order Management Solutions, clearly articulating value propositions. Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring favourable terms for both the company and clients.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns that resonate with potential customers in the Retail vertical. Work closely with product management to provide customer feedback and help shape future product offerings.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management, outlining progress toward goals and identifying areas for improvement. Adjust sales strategies based on performance data and market changes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a strategic sales role, preferably within the Order Management or E‑commerce solutions industry.
  • Proven track record of hunting new business and achieving or exceeding sales targets, particularly in the Retail vertical.
  • Strong understanding of order management systems, e‑commerce technologies, and the retail landscape.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
