Hexagon’s Geosystems division provides a comprehensive portfolio of digital solutions that capture, measure, and visualize the physical world and enable data-driven transformation across industry ecosystems. We are now entering the Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) segment with a disruptive new radar product designed to set a milestone in the sector, particularly for bridge monitoring (both static and dynamic).

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead this strategic initiative and build the Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) business from the ground up. We are looking for a dynamic and entrepreneurial professional with a strong background in business development or sales within the SHM sensor technology space. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new market, define its direction, and position one of our Division as a trusted player in the SHM space.

The candidate has a deep understanding of structural and deformation monitoring and is comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels from technical teams to corporate decision-makers.

You bring strategic thinking, leadership, and relationship-building skills that allow you to identify opportunities, forge meaningful partnerships, and drive sustainable growth.

Your activity will involve direct engagement with clients operating in the SHM sector, identifying their needs, and positioning our new radar solution as a disruptive, contactless technology—especially in bridge monitoring.

This role requires a dynamic professional with exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and relationship-building skills to identify opportunities, forge partnerships, and achieve sustainable business growth on a global scale.

The duties and responsibilities of the position include the following :
  • Building relationships with key clients operating in the SHM sector, with a focus on bridge monitoring
  • Developing a distribution network, leveraging existing group channels and expanding where needed
  • Focusing on strategic markets, particularly in Europe and the United States
  • Establishing and growing a dedicated team in line with future business expansion
  • Lead the global go-to-market strategy for the Company’s SHM new solution
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align product development with market needs
  • Represent the company at industry events and in front of high-level decision-makers
  • Negotiating and close high-value contracts and partnerships to achieve revenue targets
What would we like to see :
  • Proven experience in business development, preferably in the sector of SHM / bridge monitoring or related fields
  • Deep understanding of structural and deformation monitoring technologies and sensors
  • Strong strategic thinking and leadership capabilities, proven experience in expanding business operations internationally, with a deep understanding of global markets, regulations, and cultural differences.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-moving, growth-oriented environment
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required to meet clients, attend events, and explore new markets
Languages :
  • English language skill (fluent written and verbal) is a pre-requisite
  • Italian and other languages are a plus
