Job summary

G MASS Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support underwriting workbench implementation from a business and process perspective. You will ensure requirements reflect underwriting needs, produce standard BA artefacts, and define Target Operating Models for the new solution.

The role focuses on requirements elicitation across underwriting stakeholders, process mapping, and collaboration with Product Owners and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Senior BA with insurance/underwriting change programmes experience (Lloyd's/London Market preferred).
• Strong generalist BA skillset and ability to work independently within a project team.
• Experience partnering with Product Owners, stakeholders and external delivery vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements elicitation across underwriting stakeholders.
• Map and improve business processes; document Target Operating Models.
• Produce standard BA deliverables and documents; manage workshop outputs.
• Support testing by addressing queries from technical and business teams.
• Maintain Azure DevOps user stories and acceptance criteria; liaison with stakeholders.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the same underwriting workbench implementation from a business and process perspective, ensuring that requirements accurately reflect operational underwriting needs and standard business practice.

Key Focus Areas

• Requirements gathering and elicitation across underwriting stakeholders
• Business process mapping and process improvement
• Production of standard Business Analysis deliverables and documentation
• Definition and documentation of Target Operating Models to ensure underwriting and operations teams' needs are reflected in the new solution
• Support for the testing function, including responding to testing queries raised by technical and business teams

Key Deliverables

• Business requirements documents and process maps
• Workshop facilitation outputs and stakeholder sign-off records
• User stories and standard supporting BA artefacts
• Ongoing input into requirements traceability and project documentation
• Maintenance of Azure DevOps user stories and acceptance criteria, acting as stakeholder point of contact for verification
• Input into the BA delivery plan, ensuring alignment with agreed timelines and quality expectations
• Growing working knowledge of the client's underwriting systems to support end-user training, enhancements and stakeholder queries

Requirements

• Proven track record as a Senior Business Analyst on insurance or underwriting-related change programmes, ideally within Lloyd's / London Market
• Strong generalist BA skillset: stakeholder workshops, requirements elicitation, process mapping, and translation of business needs into clear documentation
• Comfortable working to a broad, generalist scope - this engagement is a relatively general statement of work, and candidates should expect the requirements and deliverables to be familiar territory for an experienced Senior BA
• Confident engaging directly with business stakeholders and able to work independently within a wider project team
• Experience partnering with Product Owners, business stakeholders and external delivery vendors as part of a wider project team
