AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support digital, data and transformation programmes within its Secure Government unit. You will define needs, manage requirements and deliver change in environments where assurance, security and stakeholder alignment are critical.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence Agile practices, and work across London, Cheltenham or Manchester with flexible hybrid working arrangements to support diverse personal priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience at a senior level in a consulting or client-facing Business Analyst role with complex stakeholder environments.
• Experience working with Government, Defence or Security organisations.
• Proven track record delivering technology-led transformation across strategy, design and change management.
• Experience in Agile environments and using Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps and Visio.
• Professional certifications such as the BCS Business Analysis Diploma or equivalent are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end requirements development from initial needs to detailed user requirements with clear translation and traceability.
• Develop transformation roadmaps underpinning digital change for clients.
• Influence Agile delivery practices and participate in sprints, scrums and retrospectives.
• Identify improvements to business insight methods, tools and AI-enabled approaches.
• Gather, analyse and document information to support decision-making for stakeholders.

You will be an integral part of our Digital, Data and AI consulting team and will help clients define needs, manage requirements and deliver change in contexts where assurance, security, compliance and stakeholder alignment are central to successful outcomes.## Your role* Delivering exceptional results for our clients by putting value at the core of everything we do.* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives and shape the culture and behaviours required for successful digital adoption.* Analysing processes and operations, working closely with stakeholders and using appropriate tools and techniques to identify improvements in accordance with client objectives, including workshop facilitation.* Leading end‐to‐end requirements development, from initial business needs through to defining detailed user requirements, ensuring clear translation, traceability and alignment with organisational objectives.* Developing and leading transformation roadmaps that form the foundation of digital change for our clients.* Influencing Agile delivery practices, helping to shape key activities and actively participating in sprints, scrums and retrospectives.* Identifying and implementing improvements to business insight methods, tools and approaches, including exploring how AI‐enabled approaches can enhance efficiency, insight and value.* Championing stakeholders needs, ensuring solutions are aligned to user needs, operational requirements and business goals.* Gathering and analysing information to produce clear and concise documentation, presentations and recommendations to support decision-making.## About you* The successful candidate will bring a blend of strong business insight expertise, consulting capability, and an interest in helping National Security clients solve complex challenges through digital and operational transformation.* Experience operating at a Senior level - either within a consulting environment or in a comparable client-facing role as a Business Analyst - including managing complex stakeholder environments, working through ambiguity and supporting informed judgment.* Experience working with Government, Defence or Security organisations.* A consulting mindset, demonstrating adaptability, curiosity and a willingness to contribute beyond the boundaries of a traditional Business Analyst role when needed.* A track record of delivering technology-led transformation programmes across strategy, business design and change management, supported by strong digital awareness and an interest in emerging technologies and AI-enabled solutions.* Experience operating within Agile delivery environments, with proficiency in business insight and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps and Visio, alongside knowledge of recognised delivery frameworks e.g. APMP, Scrum, SAFe, MSP and DSDM.* A track record of delivering tangible outcomes for clients, with a proactive approach and the ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.* Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence and present effectively to a range of audiences, including senior stakeholders.* Analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience gathering and translating user needs and business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria that support effective solution design and delivery.* The flexibility to work directly with clients, including periods embedded within client teams and on client sites when required.* Attained or working towards professional certifications such as the BCS Business analysis Diploma, or equivalent.* Proactivity in shaping the future of our team and contributing to our communities.* Location requirements:Applicants should be based within reasonable commuting distance of one of our following office locations: London, Cheltenham or Manchester.## Rewards & benefitsExplore the rewards and benefits that help you thrive – at every stage of your life and your career.
