Job summary

Answer Digital Limited is seeking a business analyst to help clients understand problems, ask the right questions, and define an analysis approach tailored to each need.

You will contribute to a growing Business Analysis Practice, drive discovery activities, and mentor fellow analysts while collaborating with project teams to deliver value for clients.

Job description

As a business analyst you will be instrumental in helping our clients understand the problem they are trying to solve. You will be asking the question “why?” to truly understand our client’s problems and help define an analysis approach that gets the best results, tailoring your approach to fit the need.

At Answer you will be a key asset to our constantly growing Business Analysis Practice. Working on initiatives to push the practice forward, whilst keeping an ear to the ground and sharing developments in the external analysis environment.

What you’ll bring to Answer

• Utilisation and advisory experience of industry-standard analysis skills and techniques within the business change and software development life-cycles.
• Expertise in discovery phase activities, comfortable working with ambiguity, and the ability to shape and clarify needs in order to agree scope, manage requirements and backlogs, and structure statements of work.
• Ability to drive the functional integrity of the overall solution, ensuring that all key elements of the business case are prioritised and satisfied by the business requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills - articulate and engaging, and able to communicate effectively and confidently with stakeholders at all levels
• Presentation capabilities which can transform complex ideas into clear narratives, tailored to your audience.
• Demonstrable commercial acumen, ensuring value is understood and scope and requirements are managed and align to this, when making decisions or recommending actions.
• A natural inquisitiveness with the ability to question others, collaborate, shape and confirm ideas and solve problems creatively.
• Ability to lead and mentor other business analysts, play a role in our Academy, and provide direction and guidance to stakeholders and project teams.

It would be great if you also had experience in some of these, but if not we’ll help you with them

• Experience of delivering projects through a range of software development methodologies.
• Experience in practice of Lean / Systems Thinking JTBD / VMOST.
• Experience in a number of business sectors and industries, if you’ve worked in Healthcare or have a passion for Healthcare tech that would be great!

Our Interview Process

We pride ourselves on having a fair but flexible recruitment process, we want to create a platform where you can show us your best. For us, keeping it simple means you can focus on understanding if our people, values and the work we do are right for you. Our typical process can be broken down into 3 stages;

• Recruiter call: This normally lasts 15-30 minutes. We will talk to you about Answer Digital, the type of work we do, and an overview of the role. We’ll ask you some questions about your current situation and why you’re interested in working here. Here, we’d advise asking any “people” questions, anything about our culture, career progression or approach to flexible working.
• Skills based interview: This interview will be with 2 people, normally from the team you’re applying to work with. We can do this stage remote or in person, whichever you’d prefer. This interview will involve questions around your experience, the skills you’ve gained and the work you’ve done. We’ll also ask questions about the role and challenges you might face and how you’d face them. Here, we’d recommend asking questions about the role, the day to day responsibilities and what life in the team is like.
• Cultural/Value interview: This interview will be with 2 of our Leadership team, either our Directors or Capability Leads. It will focus on our culture and values, talking about our values and what they mean to us as well as understanding what values are important to you and how you like to work. This interview is about making sure Answer is right for you, as much as the other way around. Here, we advise you to ask as many questions around our business model, our ambitious growth plans and anything to do with Answer as a business.
