Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join our team based in Cheadle, Greater Manchester. You will join us on a full-time basis as part of an initial 1-year fixed term contract with a view to progressing into a permanent role. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £41,650 - £56,350 per annum depending on experience.

As Senior Business Analyst, the successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting the organisation's ongoing digital transformation programme by identifying, analysing, and documenting business needs and processes across global functions. Working within the Systems & Development team, the post holder will bridge the gap between technology and business operations, ensuring that system and process improvements align with the charity's strategic goals. The role will also support the successful delivery of system implementations, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.

We are ideally looking to appoint somebody immediately to this role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Business requirements are captured, documented, and signed off effectively across projects
  2. Process improvement opportunities identified and implemented
  3. High stakeholder satisfaction with analysis outputs and project outcomes
  4. Contribution to the successful delivery of digital projects on time and within scope
  5. Systems changes and enhancements adopted successfully by end users
  6. Improved data quality, accessibility, and reporting aligned with organisational needs
What We're Looking For
Education
  • Degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Business Analysis Certification (e.g., BCS BA diploma, IIBA, or similar)
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Business Analyst) are desirable.
Experience
  • 3-5 years' experience as a Business Analyst (ideally in a global or cross-functional environment)
  • Experience delivering business analysis for digital transformation, ideally within not-for-profit or mission-driven organisations is an advantage
  • Demonstrable track record of supporting digital change initiatives, including system implementations or upgrades
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a methodical approach to gathering and documenting business requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience with process mapping, business process reengineering, and workflow optimisation
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum or other iterative delivery methodologies
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities across concurrent projects
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and translating complex needs into clear, actionable plans
Computer Skills
  • Proficient with business analysis and documentation tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Confluence, Jira, Trello)
  • Strong understanding of CRM, ERP, or HRIS systems (e.g. Salesforce, Dynamics, etc.)
  • Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Familiarity with data structures, reporting tools, and integration concepts beneficial
Languages
  • Fluent written and spoken English is essential.
  • Additional languages such as Arabic, or Urdu are desirable.
