We are advertising a 12 month fixed term position for a Senior Business Administrator in the SPOA department in Children's Services.

As a Senior Business Administrator in SPOA you will provide vital support to teams and ensure customer/clients queries and concerns are responded to efficiently. Ensure accurate records are maintained and other staff within the team receive the support they need to do their own jobs well.

You will gain an understanding of the team's services and the impact they have on people's lives. Working collaboratively is essential-you'll need to anticipate and respond to the needs of team members, whether they are based in the office, working remotely, or out in the community.

As a Senior Business Administrator in SPOA some of your key tasks include:

  • Be the first response to calls coming in for Child Protection, Social Care, Early Help Keywork, L2 Attendance and CAMHS referrals. Triage initial details, re-redirect, signpost and advise, or seek advice to establish best response.
  • Respond to emails and process new referrals.
  • Create Initial Contacts in EHM on Liquid logic.
  • Maintain systems and documents and keep them up to date.
  • Liaise with internal and external colleagues and clients as appropriate, sharing information as directed and ensuring Council procedures are properly followed.

The people we are looking for in this vital position will have:

  • QCF Level 2 English or able to pass an assessment at interview.
  • Commitment to developing personal performance and supporting that of the service.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook and other PC software.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and use accuracy and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to effectively organise and prioritise own and team workload to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to undertake a diverse workload and manage conflicting priorities.
