Whether that be as a sector specialist or someone that operates across multiple areas of the business, they are an employer that doesn’t use a one fit size all approach to an individual’s career development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an MRICS Building Surveyor who wants to develop their management skills and operate across a wide range of public and private sector industries.

The Opportunity

Join a global organisation with over 4,000 professionals worldwide. Being employee owned, their culture bridges borders, fostering collaboration, continuous learning, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Building Surveyor to join their Northern Building surveying team (team of over 120 Surveyors) that operate across a wide range of industries, both public and private sector.

Proud to be recognised as a Top UK Employer, celebrated for our industry leadership, charitable initiatives, and people-first approach. Whether contributing to landmark projects or engaging in global knowledge exchange, you'll be part of a team that values your voice and empowers your growth.

Reporting into one of their Northern offices; Manchester, Liverpool or Leeds you will be tasked with managing team resource carrying out professional service and project work for a diverse range of clients.

Taking ownership across a diverse portfolio of commercial buildings — including offices, retail, and industrial assets — providing strategic advice and actionable insights that support asset performance, compliance, and investment planning. Main duties include:

  • Lead and deliver condition surveys and technical inspections across commercial property portfolios across your allocated region.
  • Produce high-quality reports and recommendations, tailored to client objectives and asset strategies.
  • Managing a broad variety of projects, prioritising workloads and allocating team resource to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Pre- and post-contract activities, with a focus on contract administration under JCT forms of contract.
  • Leading, coaching and mentoring junior members of the team, including allocating team resources and acting as an APC mentor.

  • Wellbeing Focus: Gym membership, cycle-to-work schemes, and wellness initiatives.
  • Comprehensive Healthcare: Private medical, dental insurance, and eyecare support.
  • Career Growth: Ongoing development with mentoring programmes and paid professional memberships.
