Whether that be as a sector specialist or someone that operates across multiple areas of the business, this employer does not use a one‑size‑fits‑all approach to an individual's career development.

The Opportunity

Join a global organisation with over 4,000 professionals worldwide. Being employee‑owned, their culture bridges borders, fostering collaboration, continuous learning, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. This is a fantastic opportunity for an MRICS Building Surveyor (flexible to consider levels) who likes to operate across a wide range of public and private sector industries.

They are proud to be recognised as a Top UK Employer, celebrated for our industry leadership, charitable initiatives, and people‑first approach. Whether contributing to landmark projects or engaging in global knowledge exchange, you’ll be part of a team that values your voice and empowers your growth.

They offer generous holiday allowance and flexible working arrangements to support your lifestyle. Their comprehensive benefits include pension schemes, healthcare packages, wellness initiatives, and support for families. You’ll also take part in meaningful social and charitable activities, all within a culture that prioritises wellbeing, inclusion, and professional growth.

What will you be doing?

We’re looking for an experienced “all‑rounder” Building Surveyor to lead on the delivery of large condition surveys and lead and manage project work. Reporting into one of their Northern offices – Manchester, Liverpool or Leeds – you will manage team resources, carrying out professional service and project work for a diverse range of clients.

Taking ownership across a diverse portfolio of commercial buildings — including offices, retail, and industrial assets — you will provide strategic advice and actionable insights that support asset performance, compliance, and investment planning.

  • Lead and deliver condition surveys and technical inspections across commercial property portfolios in your allocated region.
  • Produce high-quality reports and recommendations tailored to client objectives and asset strategies.
  • Manage a broad variety of projects, prioritise workloads and allocate team resources to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner.
  • Pre‑ and post‑contract activities, with a focus on contract administration under JCT forms of contract.
  • Lead, coach, and mentor junior members of the team, including allocating team resources and acting as an APC mentor.
What's in it for you?
  • Flexible Working: Hybrid patterns with enhanced maternity/paternity support for better work‑life balance.
  • Competitive Rewards: Competitive salary, generous holidays, and option to buy extra leave.
  • Wellbeing Focus: Gym membership, cycle‑to‑work schemes, and wellness initiatives.
  • Comprehensive Healthcare: Private medical, dental insurance, and eyecare support.
  • Career Growth: Ongoing development with mentoring programmes and paid professional memberships.
  • Season Ticket Loan.
  • Project Variety: Exposure to diverse sectors and regional opportunities, you won’t be pigeon‑holed into one sector of work.
  • Community Engagement: Social events, charity fundraising, and volunteering activities.
