Their focus is on capturing and delivering precise spatial and building condition data to help clients make informed, data-driven decisions across the building lifecycle. Combining advanced technologies such as 3D‑laser scanning, drone / UAV surveys, scan-to-BIM, and digital twin modelling with traditional surveying, my client provides insight that goes beyond the ordinary. They work across a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, retail, heritage and listed buildings, industrial, education, healthcare, and manufacturing.

The Role

My client is seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to play a leading role in the growth and delivery of their building surveying services.

Key responsibilities include :
  • Leading condition and building surveys, dilapidations, Schedules of Condition, reinstatement valuations, defect analysis, and refurbishment advice.
  • Delivering projects spanning pre‑acquisition due diligence, refurbishment, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Managing multi-discipline surveys incorporating advanced technologies such as laser scanning, UAV capture, and BIM modelling, and translating findings into actionable insights.
  • Preparing and presenting high-quality technical and commercial reports to clients.
  • Providing mentorship to junior surveyors and supporting the continued improvement of internal processes and best practices.
  • Liaising with design teams, contractors, and project managers to ensure survey outputs are fully integrated into design and asset‑management strategies.
  • Keeping up to date with developments in sustainability, ESG, and digital building technology.
About You
  • Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS / FRICS) with extensive experience in commercial and mixed‑use surveying.
  • Strong technical expertise in building pathology, fabric and structure, refurbishment, and adaptive‑reuse projects.
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality reports, due diligence, and condition advice.
  • Familiarity with measured building surveys and experience with laser scanning or UAV technologies would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical detail clearly and concisely to clients.
  • Confident leading projects, managing client relationships, and mentoring others.
  • Willingness to travel for site work across the UK.
