Job summary

  • MRICS Chartered or pursuing chartership with a RICS-accredited Building Surveying degree.
  • Experience in technical due diligence, condition surveys, and defect diagnosis.
  • Strong knowledge of planned preventive maintenance and lifecycle planning.
  • Experience advising on party wall and neighbourly matters.
  • Proven ability to prepare technical reports, schedules of condition, and specifications.
  • Sound understanding of contract administration and project delivery.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance, fire safety, and building safety legislation.

  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Support business development by identifying opportunities within existing client relationships.
  • Share technical knowledge and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay current with relevant legislation, technical standards, and industry best practices.

TSA is seeking an experienced Senior Building Surveyor to deliver a comprehensive range of professional building surveying services across a diverse property portfolio. The role involves managing projects from inception through to completion, providing expert technical advice, conducting surveys and inspections, preparing technical reports and specifications, administering construction contracts, and advising clients on property condition, maintenance, compliance, fire safety, and building safety.

You will work closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest professional standards, while also supporting business development, mentoring junior team members, promoting sustainable building solutions, and contributing to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Skills & Experience
  • MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor with at least two years' post-qualification experience, or working towards chartership with a RICS-accredited Building Surveying degree.
  • Experience in technical due diligence, condition surveys, and defect diagnosis.
  • Strong knowledge of planned preventative maintenance and lifecycle planning.
  • Experience advising on party wall and neighbourly matters.
  • Proven ability to prepare technical reports, schedules of condition, and specifications.
  • Sound understanding of contract administration and project delivery.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance, fire safety, and building safety legislation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK driving licence.
