Job summary

An award-winning multi-disciplinary practice in Orpington is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to deliver high-quality surveying services and manage client relationships. The role involves mentoring junior staff, leading tender submissions, and pursuing new business opportunities while maintaining compliance with RICS standards. Ideal candidates will have MRICS status or be nearing completion, with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills. This hybrid role offers a salary range of £45,000 to £60,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years PQE or nearing completion of the MRICS qualification.
• Access to a vehicle and a clean driving license.

Responsibilities

• Manage and nurture client relationships, driving business growth
• Lead tender submissions and secure new projects
• Mentor and supervise junior staff and graduate surveyors
• Provide expert advice on building surveying matters
• Prepare technical and financial reports, ensuring high-quality output
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the practice
• Maintain compliance with company policies, RICS standards, and health & safety regulations

Requirements

• MRICS status preferred, with minimum 3 years PQE - or a candidate nearing completion of the MRICS qualification
• Strong technical expertise in building surveying
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Resilient, adaptable, and detail-oriented
• Access to a vehicle and a clean driving license
• Hybrid role

Salary - £45,00 to £60,000 (DOE)
