Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer for its Manchester Bridges team. You will work on rail and road bridge schemes from inspection through detailed design, mentoring junior staff and producing technical documentation. The role requires experience in design and assessment, Eurocodes knowledge, and ability to travel across the UK.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Graduate member with ICE/IStructE and chartership path.
• Experience with bridge inspection, assessment and design schemes.
• Knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and assessment codes.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Undertake rail and road bridges projects from inspection to detailed design.
• Assist supervision of Engineers, Graduates and Technicians.
• Prepare technical documentation through client sign-off of Technical Approval.
• Lead on technical design of road/rail structures.
• Lead on assessment of road/rail structures.
• Conduct structural inspections and reporting.
• Support tenders with quality documentation and costings.
• Support project management including programme and resource monitoring.
