Job summary

Page Personnel is recruiting a Senior Bookkeeper for their Clevedon office. You will handle bookkeeping up to trial balance, prepare and review VAT returns, and interact directly with clients to deliver a high standard of service.

The role offers either full-time hours or a 30-hour week, with a supportive team environment and opportunities to develop within a successful accountancy practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified or studying AAT; experience in accountancy practice preferred.
• 2–3 years of relevant bookkeeping/accountancy experience or more in practice is valued.

Job Description

Joining as Senior Bookkeeper based from their Clevedon offices you will act for varied sole trader, partnership and limited company SME's and OMB's of varying size and industry sector focused on the provision of bookkeeping services to a client portfolio. You will prepare provide bookkeeping services up to trial balance, prepare and review VAT returns and be confident dealing directly with clients building relationships and providing a quality service. You will have the potential to carve a key role here working on Xero/Cloud accounting services. Clients are varied across restaurants, pubs, services, manufacturing and other industries ranging from under the VAT threshold in turnover, up into the £millions of turnover on larger clients.

The Successful Applicant

You may be AAT studying, or hold an AAT qualification but if supported by a relevant career history and technical skill set, a relevant experienced background only, is equally of interest. You will have anything from 2 - 3 years, or significantly more experience within accountancy practice, or perhaps be a self-employed senior bookkeeper seeking the stability of a permanent employed position, carving a role within this team of professionals, carrying out bookkeeping services for a wide ranging client base.
