Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 7 Senior Specialist Blood Conservation and Transfusion Practitioner. The role spans education, audits, and governance to promote safe transfusion and conservation practices across OUH sites.

You will provide expert haemostasis support, review transfusion needs, and work with pre-operative and anaesthetic teams to ensure information on techniques is available to patients.

Qualificações

• Registered Nurse or ODP with professional registration and a relevant degree.
• Minimum 4 years’ post-registration experience with at least 1 year at Band 6.
• Experience in perioperative or transfusion services and teaching/mentoring.

Responsabilidades

• Provide a highly specialist haemostasis service across clinical specialities.
• Identify procedures to reduce red cell transfusion and advise clinicians accordingly.
• Lead education and training on safe transfusion practice and blood conservation.
