A healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Senior Biomedical Scientist to oversee scientific investigations in infectious diseases, manage laboratory information systems, and supervise staff members. Candidates must have a Health Professions Council registration, relevant qualifications, and experience in management. The post-holder is a highly experienced, state registered Senior Biomedical Scientist and performs scientific investigations in the diagnosis of infectious diseases, and manages the information and computer systems used by the Microbiology service. Involved in the daily supervision of Biomedical Scientists and support staff. Has technical responsibility of a section of the laboratory. Scientists in this grade take charge of a section of work and will be expected to supervise and train qualified and unqualified staff. They may also work unsupervised as part of the 24/7 service.
