Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls in to the category of requiring a DBS check (standard)
We are looking for a Senior Biomedical scientist to join our team, we are a hub laboratory providing services to 5 different hospitals around London and the south east. We are looking for someone who has strong morphology skills with a passion for training staff to full competency in film training. The successful candidate will provide a strong leadership and direction to our haematology section while also assisting with Senior tasks in the remainder of our auto section which included chemistry, working alongside the second senior who predominantly manages the chemistry side of this section. You will need to work closely with this senior to help manage all aspects of the auto section. Inclusive of quality systems, audits and incident / non conformance management, verification and management of change and stock management. You will help develop and manage BMS and MLA staff within the laboratory and may be expected to provide support to other areas within the laboratory. The successful candidate may be expected to take part in shifts as well as fulfill some of the out of hours requirements. Details can be provided on application or at interview. We also provide blood transfusion services on site and you will be trained in this area as well. This is an opportunity to increase multidiscipline skills with the support of experienced management and seniors on site.
