Job summary

Amatica Health is seeking a Senior Computational Biologist to lead multi-omics data science programmes and build a data science team as we scale. You will work with engineering to develop data architectures, drive research on molecular subgrouping, stratification, and treatment response prediction in a remote-first, UK-hours setup.

The role is hands-on today with a pathway to leadership, requiring a PhD and 3–4 years industry experience in biotech/healthtech, and a biology-first, AI-native

Qualifications

• PhD in bioinformatics or related field from a leading institution.
• 3–4 years in industry with substantial responsibility in biotech/healthtech.
• Future leader with inclination to build and grow a data science team.
• Proven endpoint work: subgrouping from omics data, treatment predictor, or diagnostic.
• Deep multi-omics fundamentals including transcriptomics.
• Strong data architecture and data quality instincts for experimental design.
• Biology-first mindset and focus on molecular biology levels.
• Radically AI-native using frontier AI tools daily.
• Agile across domains with cross-functional collaboration.
• Based in the UK (preferred) or EU with right to work.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end analysis of whole blood RNAseq and multi-omics data.
• Drive R&D with state-of-the-art ML methods to enable discoveries.
• Build and validate treatment response and outcome classifiers.
• Integrate molecular data with symptom and questionnaire data for translational insights.
• Shape data architecture and data capture standards with engineering.
• Contribute to publications and the company’s scientific narrative.
