Job summary

A leading infrastructure consultancy in Central London is seeking an experienced Senior BIM Technician to support one of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes. This hybrid role involves advanced skills in 3D modelling, ensuring compliance with HS2 specifications, and leading integration of diverse data. The ideal candidate should have expertise in Bentley and Autodesk tools, model governance, and significant experience with point cloud data. Competitive rate of £45 per hour offered.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with model governance and integration of field data.
  • Competent in verifying models against survey outputs.
  • Ability to lead modelling workstreams and conduct technical QA.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update live Stage 5 3D models with teams.
  • Lead integration of redlines and survey data into federated models.
  • Ensure compliance with HS2 As‑Built Specification and project BEP.
  • Support DAC submissions with aligned graphical model data.
  • Drive issue resolution between construction and design teams.
  • Collaborate with Asset Information Coordinators on validation.
  • Support model review cycles and assurance documentation.

Are you an experienced BIM Technician with strong skills in 3D modelling and digital construction?

Do you want to play a key role supporting one of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes?

Location

Central London

Rate

£45 per hour. (Inside IR35)

Working Pattern

Hybrid – 2 days WFH

Essential Requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in Bentley OpenBuildings Designer, Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and Bentley ProjectWise.
  • Strong experience with model governance, as‑built workflows, and integration of field data.
  • Competent in handling point cloud data and verifying models against survey outputs.
  • Thorough understanding of HS2 BIM lifecycle requirements (PIM/AIM) and DAC processes.
  • Ability to lead modelling workstreams and conduct technical QA across multiple assets.
  • Extensive 3D Modelling Experience Required
  • Familiarity with HS2 MPDT, MIDP, WI350, and digital engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update live Stage 5 3D models in coordination with design, construction, and supply chain teams.
  • Lead the integration of redlines, point clouds, field change documents (FCDs), and survey data into federated models.
  • Ensure all updates comply with HS2 As‑Built Specification and project BIM Execution Plan (BEP).
  • Support DAC submissions with fully aligned graphical model data and asset metadata.
  • Drive issue and clash resolution between construction and design teams.
  • Collaborate with Asset Information Coordinators to validate classifications, identifiers, and asset relationships.
  • Support model review cycles, design freezes, and assurance documentation.
