Job summary

AECOM in Birmingham seeks a Senior BIM Manager to lead information management and digital delivery across large infrastructure projects. You will promote BIM standards, oversee training, and coordinate multiple disciplines to ensure timely information handover.

The role requires strong communication, leadership and a proven track record in BIM across design to handover, with a focus on continuous improvement and stakeholder collaboration.

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Forma, and other CDE solutions.
  • Experience with data management and integration tools.
  • Experience in project delivery, stakeholder coordination, and documentation.
  • Proven ability to engage with various stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Skills in resolving conflicts that may arise during project execution.
  • Experience in using PowerBI would be beneficial to allow the utilisation of dashboards to convey key project information to stakeholder.

Responsibilities

  • Support team development and raise BIM profile across the organisation.
  • Implement local and international BIM standards and regulations.
  • Maintain QA processes for BIM deliverables.
  • Engage in R&D to enhance BIM processes and tools.
  • Continuously improve digital practices and remain updated on technologies.

The Senior BIM Manager will be responsible for taking a leading role in the delivery of the organisation’s technology strategy and promoting digital ways of working, supporting delivery teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery of project information models across a variety of projects and frameworks.

  • Ensure compliance with BIM standards and contractual obligations, supporting delivery teams.

Minimum Experience & Qualifications:

  • At least three years of working experience, ideally with relevant education in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Desirable understanding of digital lifecycle stages and multiple digital techniques.

Ability to obtain security clearance is a requirement of the role given the nature of the projects to be supported.
