Portsmouth | Hybrid/Flexible Working Available

Are you an experienced BIM professional looking for your next challenge within a forward thinking, multidisciplinary consultancy? Do you enjoy leading digital design delivery, coordinating complex project information, and ensuring teams work efficiently and collaboratively? If so, this newly created role could be a great fit.

We're seeking a Senior BIM Coordinator to take a key role within our digital design team, supporting major projects across engineering, construction and the built environment. You'll join a collaborative practice of Surveyors, Architects, Engineers and Technical Specialists, working closely with the Head of BIM while helping to shape and standardise BIM delivery across the wider business.

Hybrid working is available, but this role will require regular presence at our Portsmouth office to support design teams and coordinate project stakeholders effectively.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead BIM coordination across multi-disciplinary project teams, ensuring all stakeholders work from accurate, up-to-date information.
  • Prepare and manage BIM Execution Plans, model management plans, templates and libraries.
  • Oversee model production, clash detection, coordination reviews and 3D/2D deliverables.
  • Maintain strong communication between architects, engineers, contractors and external consultants.
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget and aligned with BIM and digital standards.
  • Support the flow of controlled documentation across platforms and ensure adherence to internal processes.
  • Produce high-quality 2D drawings and 3D models, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Lead on BIM-related queries and provide training, guidance and support to team members.
  • Contribute to tenders and PQQ/SQ/ITT responses.
  • Oversee BIM model revisions and QA throughout the full project lifecycle.
  • Support the development of BIM workflows, digital content libraries and shared resources.
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years' experience in a BIM coordination or similar BIM-focused role.
  • Strong proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and ideally experience with tools such as Dynamo.
  • Additional experience in design and modelling software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, TwinMotion etc.).
  • Strong understanding of BIM processes, workflows and multi-disciplinary coordination.
  • Knowledge of ISO 19650 and document management systems, or a desire to work towards it.
  • Excellent organisational, communication and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with the confidence to lead and support others.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with sustainable/green building or VDC processes.
  • APM(PMQ), PRINCE2 or similar project management training.
  • Experience in construction methods and materials.
  • Existing UK Security Clearance (or willingness to undergo vetting).
What's On Offer
  • £45,000 - 50,000, depending on experience and technical knowledge
  • Hybrid/flexible working with a Portsmouth office base
  • Opportunities to shape digital delivery processes within a growing organisation
  • Ongoing CPD, professional development and exposure to innovative design technologies
  • A collaborative, multi-disciplinary team with a strong technical culture

If you're a Senior BIM Coordinator who enjoys leading digital workflows, coordinating teams and driving high-quality project delivery, we'd love to hear from you.
