Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in London is seeking a Senior BIM/CAD Technician to lead the production and coordination of AutoCAD and Revit drawings for fire alarm, security, and structured cabling projects. This leadership role focuses on BIM coordination and drawing quality across a growing technical services team.

Based primarily in the Central London office with occasional site visits, you will mentor junior CAD/BIM staff, uphold drawing standards, and drive project delivery.

Qualifications

• Significant CAD/BIM Technician experience in fire alarm, security, M&E or technical services environments.
• Advanced AutoCAD skills for large-scale layouts and schemes.
• Experience in BIM modelling, coordination, and creating schematics, riser diagrams and containment drawings.

Responsibilities

• Overlap BIM coordination responsibilities across fire alarm, security and structured cabling projects.
• Uphold stringent drawing standards and QA processes.
• Mentor and lead CAD/BIM team members to deliver high-quality drawings.
• Take ownership of production and coordination across multiple projects.

The Senior BIM/CAD Technician position in London offers a leadership role within a Central London-based consultancy, carrying a salary of £50,000 to £52,000 alongside benefits such as 25 days' holiday, healthcare, and a pension scheme.

This full-time post involves taking charge of drawing production and coordination for fire alarm, security, and structured cabling schemes using AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities include overseeing BIM coordination, upholding rigorous drawing standards, and mentoring junior team members.

The ideal candidate possesses substantial experience in relevant technical sectors, advanced AutoCAD proficiency for large-scale layouts, and skill in crafting schematics, riser diagrams, and containment drawings.

Our client based in Central London is looking to recruit an experienced Senior BIM/CAD Technician to lead the production and coordination of high-quality AutoCAD and Revit/BIM drawings across fire alarm, security, and structured cabling projects.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of BIM coordination, drive drawing quality standards, and mentor a growing CAD/BIM team within a technically focused and expanding business.

Primarily office-based in London, with occasional travel to client sites and events as required.

Experience needed:

• Significant experience as a CAD/BIM Technician within fire alarm, security, M&E, or technical services environments.
• Advanced AutoCAD skills with experience producing large-scale system layouts.
• Experience creating schematics, riser diagrams, containment drawings, and equipment layouts.
• Strong understanding of drawing standards and QA processes.
• Revit/BIM modelling and coordination experience.
• Previous experience mentoring or leading CAD/BIM team members.
