This Senior Bid & Commercial Manager role is a high‑impact position leading the full lifecycle of bids and managing commercial contracts in a fast‑paced, defence‑focused environment. You will oversee strategic opportunities from qualification to submission, ensuring compliance, risk management, and profitability while working cross‑functionally with engineering, finance, legal, and delivery teams.
As Senior Bid & Commercial Manager, you will define winning bid strategies, coordinate complex multi‑million‑pound tenders, and ensure governance standards are met. You’ll drive continuous improvement across bid and commercial processes and mentor a small team within the Contract Management function.
In this position, you will also play a pivotal role in customer and stakeholder engagement — building strong relationships with senior clients and defence partners while ensuring contractual obligations are managed effectively throughout project delivery.
You’ll provide commercial leadership on major bids and negotiations, advising on compliance (DEFCONs, ITAR, DSPCR) and contributing to the company’s strategic direction and growth targets. The Senior Bid & Commercial Manager will analyse bid outcomes, identify lessons learned, and enhance future performance through structured governance and best practice.
