Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree level education or equivalent.
• Master's degree level qualification or equivalent experience.
• Significant experience in an information analysis role.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Experience using query tool functionality.
• In-depth knowledge of information analysis for business objectives.
• Ability to interrogate databases.
• Ability to interpret complex data and convert into management information.
• Ability to present detailed reports to a wide audience.
• Understanding of data quality issues and NHS context.
• Strong SQL or equivalent skills.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Ability to manage own workload.
• Excellent communication at all staff levels.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate on complex multi-stranded issues.
• Ability to train staff in information systems and tools.

• Provide accurate, timely and complex analytical support to the Board.
• Turn data into meaningful information supporting standards, productivity and income decisions.
• Communicate analytical products to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Work closely with Business Intelligence Partners.
• Work autonomously with minimal supervision where required.
• Manage multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Meet agreed deadlines.
• Independently interpret information users' requirements.
• Present detailed, complex reports understandable by a wide audience.
• Train other staff in the use of information systems and analytical tools.
