Job summary

Sentrama in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Bench Joiner to assemble finished timber products to precise specifications on the factory floor. You will read 2D/3D CAD drawings, follow cutting lists, and work under the Assembly team leader to determine the most efficient manufacturing approach.

You must have at least 5 years of bench joinery experience, own joinery tools, and knowledge of timber materials.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ bench joiner experience is necessary.
• Possess own joinery tools is necessary.
• Knowledge of joinery assembly practices is necessary.
• Knowledge of timber material specification is necessary.
• Previous factory experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand 2D and 3D CAD drawings to meet specifications.
• Read and understand supporting documents like cutting lists and factory orders.
• Follow assembly instructions provided by the Assembly team leader.
• Attend handover meetings for large projects to review critical details.
• Report back to the team leader on issues during assembly.
• Ensure components are fully machined before allocation to bench joiner.
• Use hand tools such as hand trimmers, saw, edger, chisels, etc.
• Work with materials such as MFC, MF MDF, sprayed or veneered elements, or solid wood.
• Maintain quality to customer expectations throughout assembly.
