Job summary

UFORCE, a defence-technology company, seeks a Senior/Staff Software Engineer (Nova Core) to design, build, and operate backend services enabling secure C2 operations across Nova Cloud deployments.

You will own core backend services, establish API contracts, data models, and observability while driving secure-by-default patterns and scalable, reliable systems used by multiple Nova modules.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production backend systems.
• Strong API design and evolving contracts safely.
• Solid data modeling with SQL/NoSQL and migrations.
• Operational ownership: observability and on-call readiness.
• Security-first engineering including authn/authz and audits.
• Strong testing across unit/integration/contract tests.
• Clear communication and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own and ship core Nova Core backend services and APIs.
• Design stable API contracts, schemas, versioning, and migrations.
• Establish production-grade operability with logging, metrics, and runbooks.
• Reduce incidents by improving instrumentation and post-incident reviews.
• Apply secure-by-default patterns and reusable RBAC checks.
• Contribute to shared libraries/SDKs and developer tooling.
• Improve developer experience with faster local workflows and parity.
• Ensure cross-service performance and scalability.
