Job summary

Rebellion, a multi-studio indie game developer, is seeking a senior online backend developer to design, implement and deploy performant web APIs and internal tools. You’ll work across the full software lifecycle, collaborating with engine teams and other departments, while contributing to scalable serverless and cloud-based solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with NodeJS, Javascript and TypeScript.
• A knowledge of front end frameworks like Vue and React.
• Strong experience with databases such as MySQL and no SQL database.
• Familiarity with AWS or equivalent cloud environments.
• Strong experience with software development tools and version control systems (Git/Perforce desirable).
• Demonstrated capacity to quickly learn new technologies.
• Comfortable modifying/maintaining applications written in other languages (such as PHP) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy web applications to support our in-house engine team.
• Maintain and improve existing tools.
• Develop integrations with third party APIs.
• Support our application deployments.
• Communicating with other teams.
