Job summary

Wise is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II - Backend (Java) for the Account Sharing team in London. You will build and scale backend services that enable international joint accounts and shared finance experiences, working across Product, Design, Data, and Research teams to turn product ideas into reliable, customer-centric software.

You will contribute to architecture, write clean, well-tested code, and help shape the future of Wise’s consumer finance platform, collaborating with colleagues

Qualifications

• Proficient in backend languages such as Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go.
• Experience designing distributed, scalable microservice architectures.
• Experience with greenfield projects and product-driven development.
• Experience with payments, financial systems, or compliance-heavy environments is a plus.
