Qualifications

• 7+ years industry experience designing, building, and supporting backend systems in production.
• Strong knowledge of Python runtime environments and package management.
• Proficiency in major programming languages (Python, Go, C/C++, Java).
• Experience with public clouds and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Leadership in driving projects and coordinating across teams.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with observability, metrics, logging, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the design and implementation of complex backend services in a cloud-native environment.
• Make architecture decisions balancing reliability, scalability, performance, and operability.
• Drive projects end to end from design to production operation.
• Improve service reliability by defining SLOs/SLAs and observability.
• Collaborate to define APIs, data models, and integration points.
• Identify platform improvements in tooling and automation.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews and design reviews.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and high standards.
