Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a strong Software Developer to tackle scalable problem solving and work on cutting-edge open-source tech. You will write code impacting thousands of users monthly and collaborate across disciplines in a flexible, high-impact environment.

You will design and implement new features, scale existing products, and support deployed software within an Agile team, driving research and resolving production issues as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Advanced Python 3.12+ for software or data engineering.
• Experience with MongoDB and Beanie ODM (async).
• OAuth/OIDC with JWT via Keycloak/Descope; provider-agnostic backend.
• Docker and docker-compose; everything runs in containers.
• API design with REST and FastAPI (async).
• Solid SQL/NoSQL database knowledge.
• Experience with cloud services and observability patterns.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and management to rapidly build and deploy features.
• Improve and scale existing products and tools across services.
• Lead projects from ideation to completion with quality software.
• Support deployed software and resolve production issues.
• Guide team toward goals by integrating diverse skills and experiences.
• Design integrations with 3rd parties (Python AWS interoperability).
• Work with Auth processes and system interoperability via healthcare data.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with other engineers, designers, and management teams to rapidly build, iterate, test, and deploy new features and products and main a high-quality robust codebase
• Improve and scale the existing products and tools
• Launch new projects from ideation to completion
• Actively support your team's deployed software
• Drive the development team towards the goal by integrating skills and experiences.
• design integration with 3rd parties (Python AWS interoperability role)
• work with Auths (Authorizations) process - connect to many different systems interoperability via healthcare data / companies / health systems / EMR
• Work with QA, product management, and operations in an Agile environment.
• Develop and support data-driven product decisions in a high energy high-impact team.
• Participate in the resolution of production issues and lead efforts toward solutions.
• To maintain legacy applications and participate in the migration to newer technology in the mid-term if needed.
• Collaborate and drive research to find the solution to system bugs and issues.

SKILLS

Must have

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Advanced proficiency in Python 3.12+ as software or data engineering
• MongoDB, ideally with Beanie ODM (async) for persistence layer
• OAuth/OIDC + JWT auth via Keycloak and Descope; backend is provider-agnostic, works off JWT claims
• Docker / docker-compose everything runs in containers
• Mastery of API design (REST), FastAPI (async)
• Comprehensive grasp of databases (SQL/NoSQL)
• Expertise in cloud services
• Experience with Event-Driven Microservices Identity management/OAuth
• Experience with observability, tracing, and other cloud-native patterns

• Healthcare interoperability resources (FHIR) R4, SMART Health Links/Cards (SHL/SHC)
• JWE decryption
